Creating Conversations hosts book talk, prepares for Oct. 11 event

On Sept. 29, the Seven Hills Counseling Department, Seven Hills parents, and members and friends of the Seven Hills community gathered in the Young Family Library for a book club style meeting to talk about “How to Navigate Life: The New Science of Finding Your Way in School, Career, & Beyond” by Tim Klein. Klein, an award winning educator and author, will be visiting Seven Hills for the next Creating Conversations event on Oct. 11 titled Purpose and Belonging with Tim Klein. Upper School Counselor Vicky Hausberger said, in addition to being a guide to tackling stress and anxiety for students, Klein’s book is a parenting guide. Parents expressed admiration for the book’s definition of success and how it should be about fulfillment, instead of academic or professional recognition. The book talk helped give attendants a greater understanding of Klein’s philosophy before his visit on Oct. 11.
