Lower School performances
Lotspeich first through fourth graders performed for friends and family in The Schiff Center in mid-May. Under the guidance of Lotspeich music teacher Robin Wilson, students recited poems, gave short speeches, and more about what music means to them before filling The Schiff Center auditorium with their passionate singing.
During the Doherty Closing Ceremony, Doherty music teacher Jon Newlie directed a high-energy, beautiful choral performance of Unit I through Unit III students. The program concluded with fifth graders singing the traditional “Another Bridge to Cross.” Congratulations to our Lower School students for their vibrant and talented performances!
Upper and Middle School Chorus Concerts
In mid-May, the Upper School Chorus and Middle School Chorus performed for family and friends in The Schiff Center auditorium.
On May 16, the Middle School Chorus concert included the sixth graders’ performance of “Isabel and the Bear,” and “Disco Fever.” The seventh and eighth graders’ songs spanned multiple genres featuring “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Bonse Aba,” and “Abba Gold.” The concert ended with “Viva la Vida,” a special combined performance from the sixth grade and seventh and eighth grade choruses.
The Upper School Chorus performed a wide array of songs that incorporated percussion and soloists on May 17. Vocalists sang a number of songs, from “Bring Me Little Water, Silvy” from “Waitress” to “Omnia Sol (Let Your Heart be Staid)” to “The Parting Glass,” which is part of Seven Hills’ Upper School choral tradition. Bravo to our incredible performers!
