Middle School Instrumental COncert
The Schiff Center was filled with the sounds of violins, cellos, flutes, and much more in early May during the Middle School concert.
The sixth grade ensemble played five arrangements, which included a crowd favorite, “Cantina Band” from “Star Wars: Episode IV—A New Hope.” Soon after, the seventh grade ensemble took to the stage, performing five songs from various genres. The eighth grade ensemble followed suit, showcasing their skills with songs like “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and “Skyfall.”
The concerts were a fantastic culmination of a year of hard work. Congratulations to our student musicians and instrumental teacher John Rising!

FOURTH ANNUAL WALK-A-THON
Middle School students participated in a Walk-a-Thon in early May to raise money for the two nonprofit organizations, The Caring Place and Leja Bulela. The Caring Place provides services and food, clothing, and furniture to members of the Golf Manor, Kennedy Heights, Pleasant Ridge, and Silverton communities. Leja Bulela is a humanitarian relief organization located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The total amount raised from the Walk-a-Thon will be announced during the last Middle School assembly on June 3.
Eighth grade visits The Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center
On April 22, the entire eighth grade visited The Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center to deepen their understanding of the Holocaust. Students had previously studied it in their English and social studies classes, and the visit provided a more immersive learning opportunity by allowing them to hear firsthand accounts from local Holocaust survivors. Housed within Cincinnati’s historic Union Terminal, the museum holds significance as the arrival point for thousands of Holocaust survivors who came to Cincinnati by train from war-torn Europe to rebuild their lives.
