AI and Emily Dickinson Come Together in Upper English

Upper School English teacher Mark Beyreis and Director of Instructional Technology Kristina O’Connor brought the unlikely pairing together for the AI Emily Dickinson Poetry exercise in Beyreis’ AP English and language composition class.

Teams of students analyzed a Dickinson poem and needed to figure out how to teach it to their classmates using experiences and activities that encourage them to develop their own reading and analytical skills. O’Connor showed the students how to use AI in a productive way to generate inspiration for their activities.
