Middle School Students Begin Glass Painting
October 7, 2024
Seventh graders began their reverse glass painting in Elissa Donovan’s class by tracing their reverse images onto glass sheets and tracing outlines with Sharpie. Once their outlines were approved, students began the strategic process of deciding how to layer their paints to best represent their images.
When working on canvas, the painting order is usually the background first, then the main subject, then shadows and highlights. However, for their current assignment, students must layer their paints in reverse in order to achieve the same effect.
