Five Students Receive Hauck Scholarship
The Seven Hills School awarded the 2025 Frederick Hauck Scholarship to eighth grader Angella Zong, freshman Aiden Yang, and sophomores Freddie Murrer, Irene Zhang, and Jason Zhou.
The Hauck Scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding commitment and achievement in math or science and a demonstrated special interest in math and science outside of the classroom.
Winning students entering grades nine through 12 receive a one-year scholarship to be applied to next school year’s tuition at Seven Hills’ Upper School.
Senior Takes First Place in Instrumental Competition
Senior Keliang Yao won first place in the Matinee Musicale Cincinnati’s Nancy F. Walker Memorial Scholarship Competition. The competition for classical instrumental and vocal students. Yao won the high school instrumental competition playing the piano.
Students Win Awards at TechOlympics
A team of Seven Hills students won the showcase award from the judges and the popular vote award at the annual TechOlympics hosted by INTERalliance of Greater Cincinnati.
More than 350 students from 40 area high schools attended the event that encourages students to purse college and career pathways in technology. As part of the event, teams selected, designed, and prepared a showcase project that highlights students’ talents in design, innovation, and creativity.
Students Explored Medical Specialists
Nine Upper School students took part in the Women in Medicine outreach event at The Christ Hospital Health Network in early February. The students explored the specialties of pulmonary/critical care, surgery, cardiology, family medicine, and gynecology with women physicians from Christ.
Freshmen Receive Recognition for Compost Project
Freshmen Maren Osher and Bianca Patel received a special recognition award for their proposal for “The Seven Hills Composting Project” through the Hamilton County Conservation District’s Caring for Our Watersheds Competition. More than 150 proposals were submitted and only five received special recognitions. The judges commended the students for including an educational aspect for younger students and finding an attainable solution that could have a strong impact.
