Dot Day at Doherty
Doherty celebrated International Dot Day on Sept. 15! Stemming from author Peter Reynold’s children book “The Dot” about creativity in the classroom, the students are encouraged to make dots and leave their mark on the world, said Unit II teacher Sherri Linville. First through fifth grade students did a series of dot activities, like decorating dots and translating morse code, in their classrooms and in the library with librarian Jo Schnirring and art teacher Kacey Watkins.
